Pole/Zero develops an antenna splitter for the maritime Automatic Identification System (AIS)
02/11/2014

Pole/Zero Corporation announces the availability of a new antenna splitter that enables an integrator to add a receive path to their VHF system by coupling into an existing antenna path. This new product provides a 162 MHz tap on an existing VHF transmit/receive antenna line for adding a secondary receiver. This new splitter provides protection and interference mitigation to the secondary receiver with auto-blanking during primary high-power transmission (fast attack, slow decay) and high selectivity bandpass filtering. The initial design is intended to support the maritime Automatic Identification System (AIS), but designs are available for other frequencies. Please refer to the attached datasheet for more information, or contact Pole/Zero to discuss your specific application.
