The Production Technician is responsible for the testing, alignment and troubleshooting of cosite systems and subsystems and a variety of circuit card assemblies.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Setup and perform technical electronic test functions with aide of written procedures and instructions
  • Use of schematics, PCB/PWB layouts, mechanical drawings, and work instructions
  • Technicians will use oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers and automated tests sets

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • In depth knowledge of digital and analog principles required
  • Understanding of electronic circuitry and component function required
  • PC skills are required for data entry and use of test software
  • Demonstrates ability to read schematics and troubleshoot simple circuits             
  • Must have experience with commonly used test equipment such as oscilloscope, multi-meter, power supplies and network analyzer   
  • Ability to interface effectively with internal customers
  • Ability to work closely with all levels of the organization
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to read drawings and blueprints
  • Ability to pass and obtain an IPC-610 soldering certification

Education and/or Experience:

  • Must be a US person (US Citizen or permanent resident)
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associates degree in electrical engineering technology from an accredited college or university or a minimum of 3 years digital and basic electronics experience required
  • RF test experience is highly preferred
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products required
  • Knowledge of J-STD-OO1 preferred and ability to obtain certification once employed is required

  • Stand, walk, and sit throughout the 10 hour shift
  • Occasionally lift and /or move up to 50 pounds

·        Exposed to moving mechanical parts, and low voltage electrical circuits while on the manufacturing floor

·        Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment when in restricted manufacturing areas

WORK SCHEDULES:

  • Normal work hours are 5:30 AM to 4:10 PM
  • Normal workdays are Monday through Thursday, some Fridays as needed
  • Lunch period is 40 minutes per shift, unpaid
